February Half Term fun

Well that's another half term been and gone! I know it was only a week but boy did it fly by... it was so great, a nice mix of family, home time and trips out... At the start of the week we made pots and pots of marmalade, I love preserving food for eating later, so satisfying...
Then plenty of time at home making loads of things with DD and at the end of the week a day trip out to Hartington and a walk/bike ride to Parsley Hay which was very windy but lovely and sunny too..

Celebrations...

Yay! My other half was successful in getting his dream job! :) Soo exciting, he has been working soo hard to change from one profession to another and he's managed it in under 5 years :) To celebrate, at the weekend I made him his favourite pudding.... chocolate and cream profiteroles from this book....
This is how they came out .... they seemed a bit overly complicated to make from this book as I've previously made a Good Housekeeping version with lots of fiddly parts to actually making the choux pastry which I think needed have been...
But OH really liked them so that's all that mattered :) I've just finished making a small Tilda whale for our bathroom and am so pleased with him... what do you think?

Update on Woodland Winter..

Well, over the weekend I've done quite a bit more of the woodland winter deer cross stitch picture... I'm trying to complete this section by the end of March..
It contains quite a bit of blending the cottons together and am loving getting back into it again... I've also made 3 more storage buckets which are in my shop... I've made one kitchen bucket for storage all those cookie cutters - hope you like them...
