Reindeer Lavender Bags... stocking filler ideas

I've put some more items in my shop... Light green 100% linen lavender bags hand stamped with reindeers and Christmas trees. Would make an ideal stocking filler or small present...

It's starting to feel a lot like...

... yes, yes Christmas :) Been making batches of mince pies with a bit of dark chocolate in - they were yum and only lasted a couple of days before they were gobbled up ..
The sunset we had a couple of days ago was amazing, a real pinky red light flooding in, beautiful, I couldn't resist taking a few photos...
My daughter had to draw a picture of it too... so sweet :)

Many preparations...

Today has been a wonderful day, trips to local town to get veggies and essentials, the air had a true Wintery feel about it, the leaves on the trees are just barely hanging on now... Here is what I've been up to this afternoon ....
Yes, another box which is going live on my Etsy store in a few mins, the fabric is a beautiful grey cotton by Tilda with lovely classical flowers on.
This Sunday me and the girly decorated the house, she mostly decorated the tree herself, I think she's made a really great job :)
We made this cute decoration last year out of card...

Tah dah!....

Well my news is that I've listed fabric storage bags/nesting boxes made by me onto Etsy, Ebay and Facebook! eeeeekkk... am so excited, hope you like... Obviously I will be stocking items on my shops fairly regularly so please do check in and have a look.. I've really loved making these little fabric bags, they are so useful for putting trinkets in and jewellery etc. I can also make larger fabric buckets for storing toys in and they are fully washable (at 30 degrees).

Boneyard Shawl

I've completed my Boneyard Shawl (free pattern) by Stephen West. It was very easy to knit but just a bit challenging enough for it not to be boring. I knitted it with Patons DK Linen Shadow, it's a mustard yellow colour - really nice.

Bits and bobs...

Currently no photos to show you as yet unfortunately due to broken camera:( but I'm busy working on a new knitting project from Ravelry. The Boneyard Shawl in a lovely cotton/linen mix for Summer (ha ha if we ever get it :)) It's quite a simple knit, stocking stitch, but is looking beautiful. Am very busy at mo with preparations for my little one, she is starting school in September, I can't believe how fast it's come round. She's so ready and exciting to go, bless her :) TTFN Kx.

Sewing Cross Patch Tea Towels

Recently we went to Birmingham NEC for the needlecraft show in March and it was amazing, lots of beautiful sewing ideas and I picked up this lovely tea towel set from a stall called Cross Patch. I couldn't wait to get started sewing it altogether and made it yesterday. It was lovely to do the towels are linen Moda with french theme patterns on with tabs sewn on the top of each and poppers to attach to your oven or cupboard handle. Also I'm currently working on a Crewel work picture by Sue Hawkins called Jacobean Rosehips which is great fun to do... I'm planning on finishing it this month so I can frame it :)

Sunday wanderings...

On Sunday afternoon we all had a great family trip out to Crich Tramway museum, it was great to have some nice walks in the sunshine through the woods and to the play area. A trip on the trams was very exciting for little one and furry one - they allow dogs there which is a bonus and we stopped off at Rita's Tea rooms to have a scone and jam - yum :)

I've been quite productive over this time though and have a few items to sell if anyone would please like to take a look below if interested... First up... an Easter Dotty Lamb - this was such a fun knit. I've knitted it with Eco Cotton so it is lovely and soft (may not be suitable for very young babies/children) with black beaded safety eyes and pink embroidered mouth and cute characteristic ears. It's £7 plus p&p. Please contact me if you would like her. Next up... Three secondhand sewn by me cross stitch pictures featuring a lovely Springtime rabbit and two teddy pictures in wooden frames. Ideal for a baby's/child's room. £15 including p&p. and finally... A 100% organic washcloth/dishcloth in a creamy white colour wrapped in cellophane with Cath Kidston ribbon. £6 plus p&p. Thanks for looking :) be back soon with more projects to show you that I've been working on.
